A Government is the body within a community, political entity or organization which has the authority to make and enforce rules, laws and regulations..

Typically, the term "government" refers to a civil government or sovereign state which can be either local, national, or international. However, commercial, academic, religious, or other formal organizations are also governed by internal bodies. Such bodies may be called boards of directors, managers, or governors or they may be known as the administration (as in schools) or councils of elders (as in churches). The size of governments can vary by region or purpose.

Growth of an organization advances the complexity of its government, therefore small towns or small-to-medium privately-operated enterprises will have fewer officials than typically larger organizations such as multinational corporations which tend to have multiple interlocking, hierarchical layers of administration and governance. As complexity increases and the nature of governance becomes more complicated, so does the need for formal policies and procedures.

What in the constitution gives the government the right to monopolize the issuing of money?
Q. I know that the government is given power to coin money in the constitution. But it doesn't say anything about them being the sole issuer of money, or does it? Where does the government get its power from, as per the constitution, to monopolize money. Well, I've read articles before about communities starting to make their own money and the government forbidding it and imprisoning people for it.

What is the Government of Norway like and how does this affect the population?
Q. I know that Norway is a constitutional Monarchy, but is this like the U.K, where the royal family are effectively figureheads, or do the monarchy of Norway retain power? So, how do the leaders of Norway run their country, how does the style of government influence the people, how do the people influence their rulers, how involved are the Norwegian people in politics, how close is Norway to the U.K model of local government, is industry chiefly nationalized or in private hands, and what are class relations like in Norway? Many questions there, really, but any answers are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

A. The Monarch, like the UK is a figurehead and the real power rests with the Prime minister and the government. One major difference is that the make up is more akin to the American system than the British. There is an executive made up of the Prime minister and Government Ministers (regjering). These do not sit in the legislature (storting) which is the equivalent of parliament. There is also a Judicial branch (the courts) and these are again independent, unlike in the UK where they sit as part of the legislature. The government is selected by obtaining a majority in the Storting, or at least the support of the Storting, so unlike the US the government almost always has the support of the legislature, in this way it's more like the UK.… [cont.]

A. they havnt done anything i hate to say. they have only made it far worse by continuing to bail out banks and corporations. the more they spend the more we pay back in taxes. the cap and trade tax is on the table that will tax just about anything you can imagine. dairy products flatulence on cows. cars, fuel, electricity, water, food you name it. they should have let the banks and corporations go under and put money if any into the people of this country but they didnt and still havnt. the 787 billion stimulus was a total flop. most of it stiill went to the baknks. only a very small % went to us. if you want to know the truth check out Gerald Celente. he has never been wrong when it comes to recessions. he predicted the late 80s recession… [cont.]

  • [Administration] covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, guided; men are seldom restrained from acting, such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to be nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which government is the shepherd.
  • A state, is called the coldest of all cold monsters. Coldly lieth it also; and this lie creepeth from its mouth: “I, the state, am the people. It is a lie! Creators were they who created peoples, and hung a faith and a love over them: thus they served life.Destroyers, are they who lay snares for many, and call it the state: they hang a sword and a hundred cravings over them.
  • Government, in the last analysis, is organized opinion. Where there is little or no public opinion, there is likely to be bad government, which sooner or later becomes autocratic government.
